*Yawn*
Morning people. Wow. Who knew going to the zoo could be this tiring? Zoo? What Zoo?? Haha, I'll explain.
Kumari, Connie, Ruby and Me decided to go to the Zoo last sunday, but because of some collision in my schedule, I couldnt come and the whole bunch of them refused to go as well. *Stab of Guilt* So the date was pushed by a week and we made our minds to go on Saturday! All of us met at 10 am at the Ang Mo Kio Mrt Station. Kumari brought her brother and her cousin while Ruby brought her sister. 4 adults and 3 kids. Then we made our way to the zoo by bus. So we bought tickets and TADA! We were in!!! Yay!!! Then we followed a route which I have never taken before and discovered so much more animals I havent seen -_-" [considering that I've been to the Zoo once every year since 2002] I didnt know there was a petting zoo! WEEE! SO fun! The goats at the petting zoo were so adorable! Especially the baby one's! AWWW... OHOH! Then all of us made friends with this white horse. What a beauty! She was so calm and relaxed ans she allowed us to pet her. Then there was this kid, about 3-4 years old, he would pet the horse whenever she wasnt looking, but when her head did turn in his direction, we would run away screaming in horror to his mom. How adorable!
After that, we rushed off to the sealion show. Sealions are so clever! When the nice lady on the stage said she wanted a young volunteer, Kumari's bro raised his hands up adn was called upon. The sealion gave him a kiss! SO CUTE! Hahahahaha.
The main highlight though, was this normal looking pond. Anyone could have easily mistaken it as a pond with tiny fish in it and just walk pass it without even giving it a second look. To our luck, while we were on our way to the exit, a zookeeper was about to feed the "THING" there. They were fishys. BIG BIG FISHYS. How Big? Those in that pond were like 1.8 m long! *Fainted* At first we were like, "oh, fishys...". Until he started feeding them. He would put a medium sized fish on a stick and lower it down to the water to bring the fish as close to him as possible. It was then that we could actually see the faces. So extrememly scary!!! Then he would hold it still and slowly lower the bait and *WHAM* the fish will grab it in lighting speed causing a huge splash out water that made us jerk in shock. BELIEVE ME! You aint never seen a fishy that big before. And it had luminous red streaks on its body. It looked like it came out of some sci-fi movie. We were so amazed and terrified at the same time! Then after feeding all 7 [YES, 7 BIG FISHYS] of them, we were so shocked we couldnt move. We just stood there near the pond when suddenly, one of the fishy's decided to scare Kumari. It did this splash with its body and Kumari, out of terror did this small Matrix thingy with a slow motion scream. It was so freaking funny when the family beside us gave her "the stare". HAHAHAHAHAHA.
We were in the zoo for 7 hours! 11am-6pm. We were all so tired in the end of it but enjoyed ourselves none the less. We took gazillions of pics. I'll see if I can post them up or something. Soon....
